Terra Nova at Spring Thing Festival
The Spring Thing IF Festival has just wrapped up (https://www.springthing.net/2025/play.html), and I'm pleased to share that Terra Nova – The Mystery of Zephyr’s Landing was awarded three ribbons by festival participants:
🏅 Most Subversive Ending
🏅 Most Elaborate Lore
🏅 Best Deaths
I'm grateful to everyone who played, voted, left feedback, or helped spread the word. Terra Nova was a labor of love, and it means a lot to see players respond to the story’s darker turns, the buried history, and, yes... the many, many ways things can go horribly wrong.
Huge thanks to the Spring Thing organizers and fellow creators—your work continues to push the boundaries of what interactive fiction can be. If you haven’t explored this year’s entries yet, you’re missing out on some real gems.
The festival version of Terra Nova will remain available, but I’ll be considering some updates down the line based on feedback. Until then, thanks again for exploring this unique world.
